Contact Community Centre is delighted to welcome you to join us. We have a large variety of daytime classes for men and women.
Contact offers many daytime classes and activities including Basic Sewing, Beading & Jewellery Making, Bobbin Lace, Book Club, Cake Decorating, Card Making, Counted Cross Stitch, Embroidery, Knitting and Crochet, Mahjong, Mosaics, Patchwork, Paper Tole, Clay Beading, Porcelain Dolls, Scrapbooking, Smocking, Spinners, Teddy Bear Making, Tunisian Crochet. Water Colour Painting, as well as a full range of exercise groups such as Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Pilates, Tai Chi and Zumba Classes.
Beginners to advanced students welcome at any time.

New Classes 2025
OM:NI (Older Men: New Ideas) is starting a new group at Contact.
2nd & 4th Thursday each month, 9.45am – 11.45am (meet fortnightly)
If you are retired or over 50 and looking for new connections, we have the group for you. They provide a friendly, safe environment for older men to get together, to make new friends, and to talk about what is important to them.
Meetings are confidential and non-judgemental. All men aged 50 plus, retired, or near retirement are supported. If you wish to enhance your wellbeing and lifestyle, then the OM:NI Contact men’s discussion group may be the right place for you.
The group provides:
- A comfortable and relaxed atmosphere
- Laughter and like-minded discussion
- Diverse and interesting discussion topics
- Friendly and mateship meeting format
- Opportunity to develop leadership and community skills
- Advocate healthy men and communities
- Light refreshments at each group meeting
No membership or annual fees apply. $1.00 door entry to Contact.

GUEST SPEAKER: STATE EMERGENCY SERVICES
Date: Thursday 10 April, 12 noon – 2 pm
Our Contact guest speaker for April is a volunteer from the SES, Eltham branch.
This presentation aims to inform and educate members about the Victorian State Emergency Services and how they are a vital part in Victoria’s emergency management sector. Through floods, storms, rescues, fire support and more, VICSES volunteers have consistently stepped up to support their communities in times of need.
Topics will cover:
- When should I call the SES?
- How do I plan and stay safe?
- Know the difference of when to call 000 or the SES?
Gold coin donation. Cuppa and cake provided Members and non-members most welcome.
