Contact Community Centre is delighted to welcome you to join us. We have a large variety of daytime classes for men and women.

Contact offers many daytime classes and activities including Basic Sewing, Beading & Jewellery Making, Bobbin Lace, Book Club, Cake Decorating, Card Making, Counted Cross Stitch, Embroidery, Knitting and Crochet, Mahjong, Mosaics, Patchwork, Paper Tole, Clay Beading, Porcelain Dolls, Scrapbooking, Smocking, Spinners, Teddy Bear Making, Tunisian Crochet. Water Colour Painting, as well as a full range of exercise groups such as Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Pilates, Tai Chi and Zumba Classes.

Beginners to advanced students welcome at any time.

New Classes for Term 3

Additional Class on Tuesdays 9.45-11.45am
AIR BRUSH PAINTING ($10 per lesson)
Come and learn how to use an airbrush to create fun and beautiful artworks. No experience necessary (not even any art skills, this is a whole new world!) and all equipment provided. Just please bring an apron and wear clothes you don’t mind if they get paint on them.

X-Stitch Drop in Group (No Tuition fee, pay $1 at the door)
Come along and explore the creative world of counted-thread cross stitch in a relaxed and friendly drop−in and chat class while working on your beautiful projects.
This class will suit people who are keen to enjoy each other’s company and exchange tips and tricks to further enhance their craft.

Have you ever thought about what would happen if you became unwell and couldn’t speak for yourself?
Join us for an informative and supportive session on Advance Care Planning, led by Ella Critchley and Linda Heard from the Northern Health ACP Program.
 
Together, we’ll explore:
• How to plan ahead for your healthcare
• Choosing someone to make medical decisions for you
• Talking with family, friends, and doctors about your wishes
• Understanding Advance Care Directives
 
This is a gentle, informative discussion designed to help you feel more confident and prepared, with the opportunity to ask questions in a safe and respectful space.
